Editorial Policy

How destinations and topics are selected, researched, updated, and corrected.

1. How We Choose Destinations and Topics

Itravelbudget prioritizes destinations and planning topics based on traveler demand, accessibility, budget relevance, and the practical usefulness of the resulting guide or comparison content.

We focus on content that helps travelers decide where to stay, how to structure a trip, what activities are worth prioritizing, and how to keep the trip financially realistic.

2. Research Methodology

Recommendations are built from a research-led process that includes traveler feedback, neighborhood context, public review patterns, local knowledge, and consistency criteria such as value, location fit, quality, and accessibility.

  • Neighborhood-level stay context instead of generic city-wide advice.
  • Budget framing tied to likely traveler needs, not only the cheapest option.
  • Preference for clear, practical recommendations over hype-driven travel writing.

3. Commercial Independence

Affiliate relationships do not determine editorial inclusion. A destination, neighborhood, hotel category, or travel concept should be useful on its own merits before any commercial relationship is considered.

We aim to separate editorial judgment from monetization by keeping methodology and disclosure visible.

4. Updates and Corrections

Travel information changes. We aim to review destination content regularly and correct clear errors promptly when they are identified.

Where possible, guides include update dates so travelers understand that city-level advice is being maintained rather than abandoned.
